Who he is
Robert Dillon runs America's Roadside Assistance LLC out of North Houston, Texas. He got into the trade by contracting with a company and taught himself as the jobs came in. About six months later he went out on his own, and he has been doing it that way since.
What he gets called for
Most calls are for tire changes. Robert usually charges $35, though it depends on the location and the size of the vehicle. He can also diagnose vehicles or inspect them, so if something is not obviously a flat tire, he can still take a look and tell you what is going on.

What people get wrong
Robert says brakes can be inexpensive to fix. The thing that gets expensive fast is anything internal in the engine. It is worth knowing the difference before you panic about a repair bill.
A job he's proud of
Robert recently replaced a motor mount and an air ride strut on his own 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It is the kind of repair he mentions when asked what he is proud of, the kind of work that takes real know how under the hood.
His favorite car he has worked on is his 2012 Chevy Impala. He has done a lot of work to it over time, and he still has it. That combination, the work and the fact that he kept the car, is why it stands out to him.

Maintenance people skip
When asked what people let slide the most, Robert points to tires and batteries. Both are easy to put off until they fail, and both are things he deals with regularly on the road.
Where he works and how a call goes
Robert covers North Houston but says he will travel for a job if needed. When you call, he confirms your issue, your vehicle, and the area you are in. Then he tells you whether he can help, gives you a real ETA, and tells you what he will charge. Once that is settled, he starts heading your way.
His advice before hiring any mechanic is simple. Do some research on the internet first. It is the kind of practical, no frills advice that matches how he runs his own business, straightforward and upfront about what something will cost and when he will show up.
