SMS Communication Policy
1. About These Communications
Supercanic LLC, operating Mechanicrank.com, Supercanic.com, and PrePurchaseAuto.com, sends SMS messages for the following purposes:
- Business outreach: Notifying business owners that their publicly listed business has been added to the Mechanicrank directory and inviting them to claim and customize their free listing.
- Account and listing notifications: Sending claim approval confirmations, listing update alerts, and verification messages to business owners who have claimed their listings.
- Dispatch notifications: Sending job opportunities, booking confirmations, and dispatch status updates to mechanics enrolled in the Mechanicrank dispatch network.
- Customer service notifications: Sending appointment confirmations, technician arrival updates, and post-service follow-ups to customers who have booked services.
- Promotional messages: With your prior consent, occasional promotional messages about Mechanicrank, Supercanic, or PrePurchaseAuto services.
2. Consent and Opt-In
You may receive SMS messages from us if any of the following applies:
- You provided your phone number through one of our forms (claim, contact, service request, dispatch enrollment) and consented to receive messages
- You are a business listed in the public business directory and we are reaching out about your publicly published business contact information
- You are a customer of one of our services and the messages are transactional (e.g., appointment confirmation)
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. Outreach to a single recipient is typically capped at no more than two messages without prior response. Transactional messages occur only in response to specific events (job booked, appointment scheduled, etc.). Promotional messages are infrequent and only sent with prior consent.
4. Carriers and Costs
Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan. Mechanicrank, Supercanic, and PrePurchaseAuto are not responsible for any costs incurred from your carrier. SMS service is supported on most major US carriers, but we cannot guarantee delivery on all carriers.
5. How to Opt Out
You can opt out of any SMS communication at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After replying STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. You may also email sms@mechanicrank.com with your phone number and a request to opt out.
Opt-out applies to the specific brand whose message you received. If you opt out of Mechanicrank messages, you may still receive Supercanic or PrePurchaseAuto messages unless you opt out of those separately.
Transactional messages (appointment confirmations for active bookings, dispatch confirmations for accepted jobs) may continue after opt-out as legally permitted, since they are necessary for completing services you have specifically requested.

7. Data Sharing
Phone numbers and SMS conversation content are not sold to third parties. They are shared only with the SMS service provider (Twilio, via GoHighLevel) for the purpose of delivering messages, and with internal Supercanic LLC staff for the purposes described above.
8. Compliance
Our SMS practices comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA messaging guidelines, and the A2P 10DLC framework. Our SMS sending is registered with the major US carriers under the Supercanic LLC brand.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date.
